Google, por medio del Director del desarrollo sostenible de los anuncios en su búscador, Scott Spencer, anunció un cambio en las politicas en materia de servicios financieros, donde a partir de junio de 2018 bloqueará a todos los anuncios relacionados a las criptomonedas.
Una noticia que ha causado gran asombro en la comunidad, y que se ve como algo negativo, aunque si observamos la multitud de estafas que han arraigado debido al boom de las criptomonedas desde la aparición y posterior subida de valor de Bitcoin, puede ser una cambio muy beneficioso para el usuario final, que evitara caer en la tentación del dinero fácil.
Aunque hay claros ejemplos que las criptomonedas han producido una gran riqueza a muchos usuarios, al ser un espacio no regulado (caracteristica por la que son tan populares) también ha sido uno de los motivos por lo que han creido las númerosas estafas con falsas promesas de riqueza, y dejando proyectos a medias y huyendo con el dinero de los usuarios que invirtieron.
Por lo tanto Google se une a Facebook, quien ya anuncio la prohibición de anuncios en su plataforma que estubieran relacionados con las criptomonedas, alegando que estan muy asociadas a prácticas de promoción engañosas.
El hecho de que grandes compañías como Google y Facebook tomen esta clase de medidas es una cosa que debe verse como algo positivo, son muchos los estafadores que usan los anuncios de estas reconocidas plataformas para promocionar proyectos o bien actividades financieras que acaban siendo fraudes, lo que mácula la reputación de las criptomonedas.
Aunque, incluso proseguiremos viendo casos de estafas, estas medidas le complicarán la labor a estos estafadores que solo utilizan la popularidad de las criptomonedas para hurtar el dinero de personas desprevenidas.
